Grants and Community Services Division Accepting Grant Applications for Residential Substance Abuse Treatment Programs

Beginning tomorrow, Sept. 1, the Michigan State Police (MSP) Grants and Community Services Division (GCSD) will be accepting grant applications from units of government for residential substance abuse treatment (RSAT) programs. With RSAT funding awarded to the MSP GCSD by the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance, the MSP GCSD will provide grant awards to implement jail-based programming to assist in the reduction of substance use.

The fiscal year 2027 grant period begins Oct. 1, 2026, and ends Sept. 30, 2027.

Grant applications must be submitted to the GCSD through the MGX grant management system on or before Sept. 21, 2026.

MSP GCSD will host office hours to assist applicants with the MGX grant management system. Office hours and additional grant information can be found on the MSP RSAT website
