Outdoor Adventure Center - "Pheasants of Detroit" Film Showing and Walk
Join us and filmmaker Diane Cheklich for a showing of the award-winning documentary short “Pheasants of Detroit.” Ring-necked pheasants, typically known as a rural farmland species, are thriving in the open spaces of Detroit. A little human-pheasant subculture has developed in the
city – pheasants are neighbors to human residents and muses to local artists – and pheasants have become the unofficial city bird of Detroit!
After viewing the film and a Q&A with Ms. Cheklich, we'll take a walk along the riverfront near the OAC to search for our local pheasants.
Preregistration is required. Included with the price of admission. Only the admission fee is charged at registration.
