This monthly LGBTQ+ program is open to community members and allies, for adults ages 18 or older. Each month features a different theme, giving participants the chance to explore a variety of adventures in recreation while exploring (new) hobbies or interests. Come try something new, meet people with shared interests and enjoy community in an inclusive environment!
Let’s go fishing! Have you wanted to try fishing or love to fish? Join OAC educators to learn how to safely go fishing and identify some species that are commonly caught in the Detroit River. This is a safe space for LGBTQ+ community members and allies. All fishing equipment is provided.
Participants must be age 18 or older.
You must purchase a fishing license (available at Michigan.gov/DNRLicenses) to fish.
This is an outdoor event held rain or shine; please dress for the weather.
Preregistration is required. Cost is $5 per person.
