Decontamination policy example

The joint DNR, EGLE and MDARD decontamination policy is provided below as an example for municipalities, businesses and nonprofit organizations who wish to adopt policies to protect the environment from invasive species by preventing their spread via work or recreational activities. The policy provides direction to DNR, EGLE and MDARD staff regarding the implementation of rules and laws administered by these agencies. It is merely explanatory; does not affect the rights of, or procedures and practices available to, the public; and does not have the force and effect of law.
