CROWN: April 2021 - Equity Office

The Equity Office remains actively engaged in the work of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) with state agencies, local government, communities, and organizations across the state. In the month of April, the Equity Office continues to conduct the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) work with MHSDA's Core Team (22 individual one-and-one coaching sessions) and will develop an IDI group profile and individual assessments for Midland Area Community Foundation. The Equity Office is currently scheduled to conduct implicit bias training for Hartland Consolidated Schools and continues to facilitate sessions with MDCR's Council for Government and Education on Equity and Inclusion with a focus on MCRC's Education Equity Report. These sessions are currently leading to the development to an equity plan template/toolkit that can serve as a model for schools across the state. The Equity Office continues to be an integral part of the COVID-19 Task Force on Racial Disparities, and closely works with the state Equity and Inclusion Officer (EIO) in the Governor's Office, as well as Equity and Inclusion Officers (EIO) throughout the state to improve the internal DEI structure across all state departments.
