The Managing Attorney and MDCR staff attorneys serve as legal advisors to all MDCR organizational units.

April is Fair Housing Month, and members of the MDCR Housing Unit were featured presenters in two Fair Housing conferences that took place in April.
Housing Investigator Rene Hoffmann participated in the Fair Housing Center of West Michigan's 33rd Annual Fair Housing Workshop Series on April 22, 2021. Rene was on a panel with Sara Pratt, who is now with the law firm of Relman, Dane & Colfax after retiring from HUD, as well as The Fair Housing Center's Director of Advocacy, Elizabeth Stoddard. Rene did a fabulous job presenting on the ELCRA and the PWDCRA to a crowd of approximately 156 participants.

Housing Unit Investigator LaShea Sharp conducted a Fair Housing Training, "Love Where You Live", during the Fair Housing Conference on April 15, 2021. LaShea did an excellent job and received great reviews!
