Gaming Lab

The Michigan Gaming Control Board Gaming Lab is the focal point for all technical issues relating to electronic gaming devices, associated equipment and online gaming.

The lab evaluates electronic gaming devices, associated equipment and online gaming submissions in order to reach a decision on whether the product is approved for use by a licensed entity.

The MGCB Gaming Lab Section establishes the verification procedures and tracking program for gaming software. The lab also maintains an extensive database of the status of all products submitted to the lab. The MGCB uses this information to verify gaming software in the field.

Please send all MGCB Gaming Lab correspondence to:

Note: The Michigan Gaming Control Board is moving to an all-electronic submission process for all retail and online submissions to the Gaming Lab. Please complete and return the File Transfer Service Access form (below) to establish your account and receive a password. A platform provider must submit the platform file and game software separately. Please indicate submission details in your request so it can be routed correctly. A $340 per item fee is changed for all electronic ITL submissions.
