Mich. Gaming Control Board authorizes Evolution to provide live dealer casino table games through internet gaming operators and platform providers
Detroit, July 21, 2021 - The Michigan Gaming Control Board has authorized Evolution to livestream from a Southfield studio real-time casino table games with live dealers. The hybrid live/online games may be offered in Michigan for the first time through licensed operators and platform providers beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 22.
Evolution is the first entity authorized for internet casino live dealer games in Michigan. Live dealer games will become available as individual operators and platform providers offer them.
"Players can use a mobile device or computer to play typical land-based casino games like blackjack, baccarat and roulette with a real-time, live dealer," said Henry Williams, MGCB executive director. "Cameras capture the dealer and the play, and the providers' apps or websites share it live with remote players."
The initial live dealer games offered are blackjack, baccarat and roulette. In the future, more games may be added.
Several operators and their platform providers will offer the live dealer studio games including BetMGM, DraftKings, FanDuel, Golden Nugget, Penn Interactive/Barstool, Rush Street, the Stars Group, TwinSpires/Bet America, William Hill and Wynn. Each provider will announce when the live dealer games are ready to play.
Evolution was approved after fulfilling Michigan internet gaming regulatory requirements, including an onsite review by MGCB staff.
"The Michigan Gaming Control Board shall ensure the conduct of fair and honest gaming to protect the interests of the citizens of the State of Michigan."
