A food serving area is located within the housing complex and the kitchen is located outside the secure perimeter.
The Crisis Stabilization Program (CSP) is a referral based program for prisoners experiencing a serious mental health crisis. The intention is to diagnose, treat and stabilize the prisoners. Individualized treatment plans are utilized to deliver optimal mental health care in an inpatient setting. Three levels of care exist within the facility: CSP, Acute Care (AC), and Rehabilitative Treatment Services or RTS. Prisoners move through this system as clinically indicated with the intention of discharging to lower levels of mental health care. WCC also has an infirmary with 23 beds providing inpatient mental health and health care to sub-acute prisoners up to and including inpatient dialysis. Approximately one hundred general population prisoners also reside at the facility, working as porters, in food service, maintenance, warehouse, clerks and as prisoner observation aides.
