Dogs of the MDOC
A longstanding tradition of Michigan Department of Corrections employees is giving back to the communities in which we live and work. Our employees give to local charities, adopt families, participate in fundraising activities for breast cancer research and survivors, the Special Olympics of Michigan, and so much more!
How MDOC staff give back

Through a partnership with Forgiven Ministries, hundreds of children have spent time with their incarcerated mothers and fathers. The One Day with God camp takes place inside the prison, where children get to spend the day with their parent.
