Resources for National Guard and Reservists
MDOC is proud of our employees who continue to serve as members of the National Guard or Reserves. Their service may require a leave of absence to attend military training or perform a vital service to either our country or state.
The Michigan Civil Service Commission has expanded its supplemental pay and benefits plans to ensure that employees and their families continue to receive support and benefits.
MDOC’s Wellness Unit is still able to help employees and their families while on military leave. Find out what services they can provide here.
Military family members may also be eligible for up to 12 work weeks of leave for certain qualifying needs related to their military member’s activation. In the unfortunate event of a serious injury or illness, a family member may take up to 26 work weeks to provide care. Please note that military family leave is available only to MDOC employees who are military family members. Find out more information here.
