Wellness Technician
I joined the MDOC Wellness Unit in 2020. I have been blessed to become a part of this team and help assist in the necessary wellness initiatives in the MDOC. Prior to my time with the Wellness Unit, I began my MDOC career in Human Resources. I bring with me a background in the healthcare industry working over 7 years in medical insurance, where I invested much of my time volunteering in Diversity and Inclusion initiatives, primarily focusing on the importance of a multigenerational workforce.
I was born in the U.P. but have lived most of my life in the lower peninsula. I still make it a priority to visit my family as often as I can. I love Michigan and the Upper Peninsula is my home away from home. I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and my dog, event planning/decorating, home projects with my husband, being outdoors, reading and exploring new places throughout our beautiful state.
