Lennie Alcorn
Wellness Coordinator
I have had the privilege of providing over 30 years of service to the Michigan Department of Corrections. I served in FOA as an Agent assigned to Greenfield Probation, IPA at Womens Huron Valley and later transferring to Monroe County Parole. It was through my education and experiences in mental health, trauma response and substance abuse that I developed a better comprehension of the importance of wellness in the correctional field. After earning master’s degrees in Additions Counseling (MAC) and Professional Counseling (MPC), I secured licensure as a Licensed Practicing Counselor (LPC) in the state of Michigan. I am also a Nationally Certified Mental Health Provider for Survivors of Human Trafficking. It is an honor to bring my years of experiences and skills to the MDOC Wellness Unit and serve my MDOC family proudly as a Wellness Coordinator. When I’m not working, I love to travel, welcoming new experiences and spend time with my adult daughters.
