Students learn the fundamentals of plant science, soils, nutrition, plant propagation, and pest management. Further studies include hydroponics, landscape management, landscape contractor, nursery worker and garden retailer.
Certification areas include: MDARD Pesticide Applicator through Michigan Department of Agriculture and CGIP Certification through Michigan Landscape and Nursery Industry. Participants can also complete the Forklift certification.
