The Michigan Parole Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, March 18, 2008, to consider the possible parole of Vertis Lee Jackson, #225059. It will be at 9:00 a.m. at the T-100 Training Center, G. Robert Cotton Correctional Facility, Jackson, Michigan.
Vertis Lee Jackson is serving a sentence for Possession of Cocaine over 650 grams. He was sentenced on November 23, 1992 from Macomb County.
Barbara Sampson, Chairperson of the Michigan Parole Board, will conduct the hearing under the provisions of the Lifer Law, MCLA 791.234.
By statute, prisoners serving a life sentence under MCL 333.74032A1, who committed their crime on or after October 1, 1992 must serve 15 calendar years, before the parole board can obtain jurisdiction.
