The Michigan Parole Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, October 28, 2008, to consider the possible commutation of sentence for Bernard Murphy, #143459. It will be held at 9:00 a.m. at the Duane Waters Health Center, Jackson, Michigan.
Bernard Murphy was sentenced on April 21, 1981 to 2y - 15y for the crime of Breaking and Entering; July 1, 1985 to 1y6m - 10y for the crime of Breaking and Entering and on May 4, 1993 to 15y - 40y for the crime of 4th Robbery Armed from Wayne County. Mr. Murphy was sentenced on November 23, 1988 to 2y6m - 5y for the crime of Prisoner in Possession of Contraband from Muskegon County.
The hearing is required under MCLA 791.244 prior to any recommendation for executive clemency by the Michigan Parole Board.
