A public hearing to consider the possible parole of Hatim Zakar #214645

The Michigan Parole Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 to consider the possible parole of Hatim Zakar #214645.  It will be at 11:00 a.m. at the T-100 Training Center, G. Robert Cotton Correctional Facility, Jackson, MI.

Hatim Zakar is serving a Life sentence for the crime of Conspiracy to Deliver Over 650 Grams of Cocaine.  He was sentenced on February 5, 1991 from Oakland County.

Barbara Sampson, Chairperson of the Michigan Parole Board, will conduct the hearing under the provisions of the Lifer Law, MCLA 791.234.

By Statute, prisoners serving a life sentence under MCL 333.74012A1, must serve 15, 17 ½ or 20 calendar years, based on predetermined factors, before the parole board can obtain jurisdiction.
