The Michigan Parole Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 to consider the possible parole of Jose Bastard Gonzalez, #200310. It will be at 9:00 a.m. at the T-100 Training Center, G. Robert Cotton Correctional Facility, Jackson, MI.
Jose Bastard Gonzalez is serving two Life sentences for the crimes of Delivery of Cocaine Over 650 Grams and Conspiracy to Deliver Cocaine Over 650 Grams. He was sentenced on April 6, 1989 from Macomb County.
Barbara Sampson, Chairperson of the Michigan Parole Board, will conduct the hearing under the provisions of the Lifer Law, MCLA 791.234.
By Statute, prisoners serving a life sentence under MCL 333.74012A1, must serve 15, 17 ½ or 20 calendar years, based on predetermined factors, before the parole board can obtain jurisdiction.
