The Michigan Parole Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, April 9, 2009, to consider the possible commutation of sentence for Allen Smith #085017. It will be held at 9:00 a.m. at the Duane Waters Hospital, Jackson, Michigan.
Allen Smith was sentenced on December 19, 1953 from Luce County to a term of Life for the crime of Murder 1st Degree and sentenced on May 4, 1983 from Jackson County to a term of 6m-5y for the crime of Escape Prison.
The hearing is required under MCLA 791.244 prior to any recommendation for executive clemency by the Michigan Parole Board.
