A public hearing to consider the possible parole of Irvin Foster, #221566

The Michigan Parole and Commutation Board will hold a public hearing on Monday, September 21, 2009 to consider the possible parole of Irvin Foster, #221566. It will be at 9:00 a.m. at the Handlon Training Center, Richard Handlon Correctional Facility, Ionia, MI.
Irvin Foster is serving a Life sentence for the crime of Possession with Intent to Deliver Over 650 Grams of Cocaine. He is also serving a 10y-20y sentence for the crime of Conspiracy to Deliver 50-224 Grams of Cocaine. He was sentenced on January 9, 1992 from Wayne County.
Barbara Sampson, Chairperson of the Michigan Parole and Commutation Board, will conduct the hearing under the provisions of the Lifer Law, MCLA 791.234.
By Statute, prisoners serving a life sentence under MCL 333.74012A1, must serve 15, 17 1/2 or 20 calendar years, based on predetermined factors, before the parole and commutation board can obtain jurisdiction.
