A public hearing to consider the possible pardon of sentence for Pedro Jimenez

The Michigan Parole and Commutation Board will hold a public hearing on Monday, October 26, 2009 to consider the possible pardon of sentence for Pedro Jimenez.  It will be held at 9:00 a.m. at the Grand Tower, Conference Room 1A, 235 South Grand Avenue, Lansing, Michigan.

Pedro Jimenez was sentenced to a term of 6 months confinement, 3 years probation and $2,794 in Fees/Costs/Restitution for the crime of Attempted Uttering and Publishing. He was sentenced on December 1, 1983, from Eaton County.

Barbara S. Sampson, Chairperson of the Michigan Parole and Commutation Board, will conduct the hearing under the provisions of MCLA 791.244 prior to any recommendation for executive clemency by the Parole and Commutation Board.

This hearing is required by state law prior to consideration of any pardon by the Governor.
