The Michigan Parole and Commutation Board will hold a public hearing on Monday, June 7, 2010, to consider the possible commutation of sentence of Richard P. Garza, #227688. It will be at 11:00 a.m. at the Handlon, Richard A. Correctional Facility, Ionia, MI.
Richard P. Garza is serving a Life sentence for the crime of Manufacture and Delivery of Over 650 Grams of Cocaine. He was sentenced on October 29, 1992 from Oakland County. Mr. Garza is also serving a term of 2y-5y for the crime of Prisoner Possessing Weapons-Habitual 2nd. He was sentenced on July 12, 1995 from Saginaw County.
The hearing is required under MCLA 791.244 prior to any recommendation for executive clemency by the Michigan Parole and Commutation Board.
