A public hearing to consider the possible pardon of sentence for Houa Vang

The Michigan Parole and Commutation Board will hold a public hearing on Monday, June 14, 2010, to consider the possible pardon of sentence for Houa Vang. It will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Grandview Plaza Building, Lansing, MI.
Houa Vang was sentenced to a term of 30 days confinement, 2 years probation, $200 F/C/R (Fines/Costs/Restitution) for the crime of Criminal Sexual Conduct 4th Degree (Force or Coercion) and to a term of 12 months confinement for the crime of Criminal Sexual Conduct 2nd Degree Assault. He was sentenced on June 12, 1996 and June 11, 1997 from Ingham County.
Barbara S. Sampson, Chairperson of the Michigan Parole and Commutation Board, will conduct the hearing under the provisions of MCLA 791.244 prior to any recommendation for executive clemency by the Parole and Commutation Board.
This hearing is required by state law prior to consideration of any pardon by the Governor.
