A public hearing to consider the possible pardon of sentence for Kay Mizell

The Michigan Parole and Commutation Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, July 8, 2010, to consider the possible pardon of sentence for Kay Mizell. It will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Grandview Plaza Building, Lansing, MI.
Kay Mizell was sentenced to a term of $100 F/C/R (Fines/Costs/Restitution) and 1 year probation for the crime of Larceny Under $100. She was sentenced on June 5, 1972 from Wayne County. Ms. Mizell was also sentenced to a term of $50 F/C/R (Fines/Costs/Restitution) and 6 months probation for the crime of Larceny $100 or Less, to a term of $50 F/C/R (Fines/Costs/Restitution) for the crime of Larceny $100 or Less and received a suspended sentence for the crime of Disorderly Person-Jostling. She was sentenced on January 23, 1974, March 16, 1983, and March 13, 1987 out of Oakland County. She was also sentenced to a term of $150 F/C/R (Fines/Costs/Restitution), 10 days confinement and 1 year probation for the crime of Larceny $100 or Less. She was sentenced on September 12, 1986 out of Washtenaw County.
Barbara S. Sampson, Chairperson of the Michigan Parole and Commutation Board, will conduct the hearing under the provisions of MCLA 791.244 prior to any recommendation for executive clemency by the Parole and Commutation Board.
This hearing is required by state law prior to consideration of any pardon by the Governor.
