A public hearing to consider the possible pardon of sentence for Kristine (Voycik) Ortiz

The Michigan Parole and Commutation Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, July 8, 2010, to consider the possible pardon of sentence for Kristine (Voycik) Ortiz.  It will be held at 9:00 a.m. at the Grandview Plaza Building, Lansing, MI.

Kristine (Voycik) Ortiz was sentenced to a term of 1 year probation and $5,088 F/C/R (Fines/Costs/Restitution) for the crimes of Fraud-Welfare $500 or Less and Fraud-Welfare (Fail to Inform) Less Than $500. She was sentenced on February 17, 1995 from Sanilac County.

Barbara S. Sampson, Chairperson of the Michigan Parole and Commutation Board, will conduct the hearing under the provisions of MCLA 791.244 prior to any recommendation for executive clemency by the Parole and Commutation Board.

This hearing is required by state law prior to consideration of any pardon by the Governor.
