A public hearing to consider the possible pardon of sentence for Douglas Elders

The Michigan Parole and Commutation Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, September 2, 2010, to consider the possible pardon of sentence for Douglas Elders. It will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the Grandview Plaza Building, Lansing, MI.
Douglas Elders was sentenced to a term of 2y-4y for the crime of Delivery/Manufacture of Marijuana and to a term of 5y-20y for the crime of Delivery/Manufacture of Less than 50 Grams of Cocaine. He was sentenced on March 16, 1989 from Eaton County.
Barbara S. Sampson, Chairperson of the Michigan Parole and Commutation Board, will conduct the hearing under the provisions of MCLA 791.244 prior to any recommendation for executive clemency by the Parole and Commutation Board.
This hearing is required by state law prior to consideration of any pardon by the Governor.
