A public hearing to consider the possible parole of Edrick Karl Jenkins, #231775

The Michigan Parole and Commutation Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 to consider the possible parole of Edrick Karl Jenkins, #231775.  It will be held at 9:00 a.m. at the Richard A. Handlon Correctional Facility, Ionia, MI.

Edrick Karl Jenkins is serving a Life sentence for the crime of Conspiracy to Deliver Over 650 Grams of Cocaine.  He was sentenced on June 22, 1993 from Muskegon County.

Barbara Sampson, Chairperson of the Michigan Parole and Commutation Board, will conduct the hearing under the provisions of the Lifer Law, MCLA 791.234.

By Statute, prisoners serving a Life sentence under MCL 333.74012A1, must serve 15, 17 ½ or 20 calendar years, based on predetermined factors, before the Parole and Commutation Board can obtain jurisdiction.
