The Michigan Parole and Commutation Board will hold a public hearing on Monday, March 7, 2011 to consider the possible parole of Orville Simpson, #230197. It will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the G. Robert Cotton Correctional Facility, Jackson, Michigan.
Orville Simpson is serving a Life sentence for the crime of Possession With Intent to Deliver Over 650 Grams Cocaine. He was sentenced on March 23, 1993 from Wayne County.
Barbara Sampson, Chairperson of the Michigan Parole and Commutation Board, will conduct the hearing under the provisions of the Lifer Law, MCLA 791.234.
By statute, prisoners serving a Life sentence under MCL 333.74012A1, must served 15, 17 ½, or 20 calendar years, based on predetermined factors, before the Parole and Commutation Board can obtain jurisdiction.
