The Michigan Parole Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 to consider the possible parole of Curtis Wood, #220294. It will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Handlon Michigan Training Center; Richard A. Handlon Correctional Facility in Ionia, Michigan.
Curtis Wood is serving a Life sentence for the crime of Possession with Intent to Deliver over 650 Grams of Cocaine. He was sentenced on June 18, 1998 out of Wayne County.
Michael C. Eagen, Chairperson of the Michigan Parole Board, will conduct the hearing under the provisions of the Lifer Law, MCLA 791.234.
By Statute, prisoners serving a life sentence under MCL 333.74012A1, must serve 15, 17 ½ or 20 calendar years, based on predetermined factors, before the parole board can obtain jurisdiction.
