Parole absconder Kevin Wiley apprehended in Kentucky
A nearly three-week manhunt for a parole absconder wanted in connection for a murder in Oakland County last month has come to an end. Kevin Jermaine Wiley, was apprehended Wednesday in Radcliff, Kentucky. The Michigan Department of Corrections Absconder Recovery Unit worked in partnership with the United States Marshals Service, Detroit Fugitive Apprehension Team and the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office in the search. Wiley was arrested by the Western Kentucky Regional Task Force and lodged into the Hardin County Detention Center in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. He is now awaiting extradition back to Michigan. Wiley, 34, had served time for manslaughter and 2nd degree home invasion and was paroled in March of 2015.
