The Michigan Parole Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 to consider the possible parole of Melvin Dalton, #145875. It will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Handlon Michigan Training Center; Richard A. Handlon Correctional Facility in Ionia, Michigan.
Melvin Dalton is serving four Life sentences for the crimes of Criminal Sexual Conduct 1st Degree (2 counts), Armed Robbery and Kidnapping. He was sentenced on November 18, 1976 out of Wayne County.
Anthony E. O. King, Member of the Michigan Parole Board, will conduct the hearing under the provisions of the Lifer Law, MCLA 791.234.

The Northern Region John Davids Recruit Academy Class graduation took place on Nov. 20 at Lake Superior State University and recognized 48 new officers. The class is the largest northern region academy to graduate since 2016. New officers will help to reduce vacancies at facilities across the Upper Peninsula.
