The Michigan Parole Board will hold a public hearing on Monday, October 10, 2022, at 9:00 am to consider the possible commutation of sentence for Lawrence Hegwood, #283150. The hearing will be conducted via video through Microsoft Teams and can be accessed by clicking HERE.
Those planning to access the hearing must call 517-335-1736 no later than October 7, 2022, to confirm attendance.
Lawrence Hegwood was sentenced to a term of 20 years to 40 years for the crime of Home Invasion 1st Degree-Habitual 4th, and to a term of 5 years to 15 years for the crime of Robbery Unarmed-Habitual 4th. Lawrence Hegwood was sentenced on October 10, 2001, out of Wayne County.
Brian Shipman, Chairman of the Michigan Parole Board, will conduct the hearing under the provisions of MCLA 791.224 prior to any recommendation for executive clemency by the Parole Board.
