A public hearing to consider the possible parole of Jeffery Barnes, #399256

The Michigan Parole Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. to consider the possible parole of Jeffery Barnes, #399256. The hearing will be conducted via video through Microsoft Teams and can be accessed by clicking HERE

Those planning to access the hearing must call 517-335-1736 no later than June 13, 2023, to confirm attendance.

Jeffery Barnes is serving four life sentences for the crimes of Criminal Sexual Conduct 1st Degree (Person Under 13)-Habitual 2nd (two counts) and Criminal Sexual Conduct 1st Degree (Relationship)-Habitual 2nd (two counts).  Jeffery Barnes was sentenced on August 2, 2004, out of St. Joseph County. 

Brian Shipman, Chairman of the Michigan Parole Board, will conduct the hearing under the provisions of the Lifer Law, MCLA 791.234.
