A public hearing to consider the possible pardon of sentence for Anthony Hayes

The Michigan Parole Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at 9:00 a.m., to consider the possible pardon of sentence for Anthony Hayes. The hearing will be conducted via video through Microsoft Teams and can be accessed by clicking HERE.
Those planning to access the hearing must call 517-335-1736 no later than January 2, 2024, to confirm attendance.
Anthony Hayes was sentenced to a term of 18 months probation, 6 days jail (time served), and $720 F/C/R (Fines/Costs/Restitution) for the crime of Domestic Violence. Anthony Hayes was also sentenced to a term of 18 months probation, and $200 F/C/R (Fines/Costs/Restitution) for the crime of Minor in Possession. Anthony Hayes was sentenced on September 26, 2003, out of Ionia County.
Anthony Hayes was sentenced to a term of 2 years probation, 6 months jail, and $1,455 F/C/R (Fines/ Costs/Restitution) for the crime of Unlawfully Driving Away an Automobile. Anthony Hayes was sentenced on December 14, 2004, out of Ionia County.
Anthony Hayes was also sentenced to a term of 2 years probation, and $620 F/C/R (Fines/ Costs/Restitution) for the crime of Attempt-Larceny $1,000 or More But Less Than $20,000. Anthony Hayes was sentenced on January 6, 2005, out of Barry County.
Brian Shipman, Chairman of the Michigan Parole Board, will conduct the hearing under the provisions of MCLA 791.244 prior to any recommendation for executive clemency by the Parole Board.
This hearing is required by state law prior to consideration of any pardon by the Governor.
