A public hearing to consider the possible pardon of sentence for Heather Vykopal

The Michigan Parole Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., to consider the possible pardon of sentence for Heather Vykopal. The hearing will be conducted via video through Microsoft Teams.
Those planning to access the hearing must complete the online registration form no later than June 10, 2025. Instructions for accessing the public hearing can be found here.
Heather Vykopal was sentenced to a term of 24 months HYTA probation and 3 months jail for the crime of Controlled Substance-Delivery/Manufacture Marijuana. Heather Vykopal was also sentenced to two terms of 24 months probation and 3 months jail for the crime of Controlled Substance-Possession Marijuana (two counts). Heather Vykopal was sentenced on January 20, 2005, out of Barry County.
Anthony E.O. King, Member of the Michigan Parole Board, will conduct the hearing under the provisions of MCLA 791.244 prior to any recommendation for executive clemency by the Parole Board.
This hearing is required by state law prior to consideration of any pardon by the Governor.
