Twenty-one businesses, organizations and individuals from across the state have been selected as finalists for the 2018 Governor's Energry Excellence Awards, which recognize people and organizations in Michigan that have taken firm, meaningful actions to improve energy efficiency.
Nominations were made in eight different categories that underline the diversity of Michigan's most cutting-edge energy-efficient projects. Award winners, which span from individual residents to the manufacturing industry and the Michigan National Guard, will be announced at an event in September.

LANSING, Mich. – Michigan National Guard (MING) officials, joined by State Rep. Phil Green, recently visited the Michigan Army National Guard (MIARNG) Lapeer Armory, located at 2140 W. Genesee St. in Lapeer, to review a newly completed $8.8 million renovation project. NS 26-1 is part of the semi-annual exercise series, which includes NS 26-2, scheduled for this August.
