Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency to Host Veterans Recognition Ceremony at the State Capitol

The Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency (MVAA) will be honoring veterans during a ceremony at the State Capitol on Nov. 10 from 9:30 a.m. – 10 a.m. in Heritage Hall (State Room North) at 100 N. Capitol Ave., Lansing, MI 48933.

Remarks will be led by U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Paul D. Rogers, adjutant general and director of the Michigan Department of Military and Veterans Affairs; MVAA Director Zaneta Adams; Rachel Wade, a disabled veteran of the U.S. Army and MVAA Buddy-to-Buddy Coordinator for Wayne, Oakland and Macomb County; and Michigan State Representative Terry Sabo. The ceremony will include a posting of the colors by the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) State Honor Guard with the National Anthem performed by Maj. Daniels with the Belmont Armory 126th Army Band. Director Adams will present Vietnam veterans with a pin to recognize their service.
