Division on Deaf, DeafBlind and Hard of Hearing (DODDBHH) - January 2021
DODDBHH continues to work collaboratively with MDHHS on ASL translations of relevant information related to both the MDHHS COVID-19 epidemic orders, the COVID-19 vaccine FAQs and infographics as well as for vaccine outreach efforts. We will continue to post these videos on the MDCR/DODDBHH YouTube page, on the DODDBHH Facebook page and will also be sent out through the DODDBHH email newsletter.
Our team continues to host monthly check-ins with individual community-based organizations to discuss issues that impact Michiganders who are deaf, deafblind and hard of hearing and to partner on collaborative efforts. The Division also continues to participate as a stakeholder in quarterly meetings for the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) on the state’s long-range transportation plan also known as MM2045. MM2045 will help MDOT identify barriers to transportation and develop strategies for Michigan's vibrant and multi-modal transportation future. Our team was asked to provide input on development of a survey tailored specifically for Michiganders with disabilities.
