Rebecca Powell Receives National ADA Certification
May 2021
Last month, Rebecca Powell successfully completed the Americans with Disabilities Act Coordinator Training Certification Program (ACTCP)! She is the third staff member in the department to receive this certification.
"Congratulations to Rebecca for earning her Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) certification," said Marcelina Trevino. "This certification has expanded Rebecca's knowledge and expertise surrounding ADA law, which in turn allows her (in the role as the MDCR ADA Coordinator) and our agency to better serve the public, particularly as it pertains to Title II of the ADA and more broadly."
The program, which takes 1-2 years, requires individuals to complete 40 training credits and pass an exam to demonstrate mastery of knowledge. Once finished, they can begin using ADAC (Americans with Disabilities Act Coordinator) in their professional titles.
Congratulations, Rebecca and thank you for your commitment to ADA compliance!
