What is the Council?
A 13-person body, of which a minimum of seven must be Deaf, DeafBlind or Hard of Hearing. The members are appointed by the Governor and serve for a term of three years. The Council provides advice and public feedback to the Division and advocates on behalf of the targeted populations in Michigan.
