LANSING, MI--The Michigan Veteran’s Affairs Agency (MVAA) and the Michigan Women’s Commission (MWC) today announced that due to the COVID-19 outbreak, they have postponed the second annual Michigan Women Veterans 5K Run/Walk originally scheduled for June 12, 2020 in downtown Lansing.
MVAA and MWC made the decision to postpone the event in order to protect the safety and wellbeing of the community and the veterans they serve.
Organizers will convene in the coming months to decide on a future date for the 5K Run/Walk. When rescheduled, the new date will be posted on the agencies’ websites: MichiganVeterans.com and Michigan.gov/MWC.
Anyone who has already registered for the June 12 5K Run/Walk will be reimbursed.
