Michigan Department of Civil Rights to Host Public Forum on Religion and Civil Rights in Warren

Lansing, MI--The Michigan Department of Civil Rights will hold a community forum on religion and civil rights, including information on MDCR’s role in enforcing civil rights laws, on Thursday, June 26, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The forum will be held at Macomb Community College, Building K, Room K311/313, located at 1500 East 12 Mile Road in Warren, Michigan.

A light dinner will be served at 5:00 p.m. Programming will begin at 6:00 p.m.

The event is part of MDCR’s MI Response to Hate campaign – a series of virtual and in-person public forums and an annual conference focused on combatting hate and bias in Michigan.

The Michigan Department of Civil Rights is charged with investigating and resolving complaints of discrimination and working to prevent discrimination through educational programs that promote voluntary compliance with civil rights laws. The Department also provides training and services to government agencies, businesses, schools and organizations on diversity initiatives, fair housing and equal employment law.
