- The State Bar of Michigan has several resources available to assist Michigan citizens. It includes a Legal Resource and Referral Center which contains an online attorney search tool, a lawyer referral service, a listing of Legal Aid programs by county, and legal self-help resources.
- The Benefits for Life Legal Plan: an employee-paid, optional coverage program offered through the State of Michigan provides access to a network of attorneys - over the phone or in person - for many common personal legal issues.
- Michigan 2-1-1 is a free telephone number that connects people with community resources. The 2-1-1 call specialists are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide information on community services such as health care, job training, mortgage foreclosure assistance, rent/utility assistance, food, legal assistance, shelter, support groups and more.
