Beating the Winter Blues: Wednesday, February 4, 11:00 a.m.–11:45 a.m.

You have probably heard of the winter blues before, but what does it really mean? In this webinar we will discuss why you may be feeling out of sorts or not like yourself during the long winter months. We will explore tips, strategies, and resources you can use to cope with the cold, dark days and beat the winter blues.

Compassion Fatigue—Because You Care: Wednesday, March 4, 11:00 a.m.–11:45 a.m.

Sometimes referred to as the cost of caring too much, compassion fatigue is the state of emotional and physical exhaustion resulting from the exposure to the continuous suffering and trauma of others. Anyone in a helping profession or who interacts with or serves the public can be impacted. This webinar will explore the signs and symptoms to spot compassion fatigue, prevention strategies, as well as interventions to help combat against it.

Many of us are familiar with the concept of burnout but do we really know what it means or what it looks like? How do you know when you've crossed over from just stress to burnout? This webinar will help you recognize the signs of burnout as well outlining contributing factors and provide ideas for tackling burnout head on.

Managing the Stress of Change and Uncertainty: Wednesday, May 6, 11:00 a.m.–11:45 a.m.

Even though we now experience change on a constant basis, it still has the potential for increasing our stress level. This is especially true when there is much uncertainty related to change or change that feels out of our control. Yet how we manage uncertainty and change can make a huge difference on our overall outlook and well-being. This webinar will help increase your understanding of why change can be stressful, learn strategies for minimizing and managing stress and guide you through a quick relaxation technique to use during uncertain times.

Managing Anxiety and Building Resilience: Wednesday, June 3, 11:00 a.m.–11:45 a.m.

American Psychological Association defines anxiety as, “an emotion characterized by feelings of tension, worried thoughts, and physical changes such as increased blood pressure or heart rate”. Anxiety can be normal in stressful situations like driving in heavy traffic or public speaking, but it can also be an indicator of something more when those feelings become excessive and interfere with everyday life. This webinar will help you better understand anxiety symptoms, learn strategies, like building resilience, to help manage our anxiety.
