SUBJECT: PRIMARY NEGOTIATIONS AND IMPASSE RESOLUTION TIMETABLE

As required by Civil Service Commission Rule 6-9, I have established the following timetable for primary negotiations and impasse resolution:

1.  Friday, September 16, 2011 Deadline for parties to request impasse panel assistance if no voluntary agreement is reached.
2.  Friday, October 14, 2011 Deadline for the parties to submit to the impasse panel documentation required in Rule 6-9.4(a)(2).
3.  Monday, October 31, 2011 to Friday, November 11, 2011 Period for impasse panel hearings.
4.  Wednesday, November 23, 2011 Deadline for the impasse panel to submit any recommendations to the Civil Service Commission.
5.  Wednesday, December 7, 2011 Date of meeting at which the Commission will review and act on any impasse panel recommendations.


NOTE: The non-economic provisions of all current primary collective bargaining agreements expire on December 31, 2011. All economic provisions expire on September 30, 2012.
