Several amendments to Regulation 5.18, Complaints About Benefits, are being proposed by staff. The substantive changes proposed include: (1) updating references to new insurance plan offerings and newly selected third-party administrators, (2) adding new definitions, (3) streamlining the appeal process for complaints over benefit decisions made by civil service staff, and (4) clarifying the plans over which the Employee Benefits Division may hear HIPAA privacy complaints. Comments must be received by February 27, 2010. |
