SUBJECT: SECONDARY NEGOTIATIONS AND IMPASSE TIMETABLE
 
I have established the following timetable for secondary negotiations and impasse resolution:
 
1.  Friday, August 29, 2014 Deadline for parties to request impasse panel assistance if no voluntary agreement is reached.
 
2.  Friday, September 5, 2014 Deadline for parties to designate sole representative for service of impasse materials.
 
2.  Friday, September 26, 2014 Deadline for the parties to submit to the impasse panel documentation required in Rule 6-9.4(a)(2).
 
4.  Monday, October 27, 2014to      Friday, November 7, 2014 Period for impasse panel hearings.


 
5.  Wednesday, November 26, 2014 Deadline to submit impasse panel recommendations to the Civil Service Commission.

 
6.  Wednesday, December 10, 2014 Date of meeting at which the Commission will review and act on any impasse panel recommendations.
 
To reduce administrative burdens for the parties, a party may elect to submit all proposals electronically in track-changes format in a Microsoft Word document. If electronic filing is selected physical copies will only be required for hearings exhibits. Alternatively, a party may continue under the previous system with multiple paper and electronic copies in clean and legislative formats. Please contact Nicholas Kechkaylo at (517) 335-5588 with any questions on electronic filing. Additional guidance will be provided to the parties as the filing deadlines approach.
