SUBJECT: CIVIL SERVICE REGULATION 8.05, EMPLOYMENT RELATIONS BOARD APPEAL PROCEDURES

Proposed changes to Regulation 8.05, Employment Relations Board Appeal Procedures, were circulated for review and comment under SPDOC 15-02, dated March 6, 2015.

The regulation has been amended as proposed in SPDOC 15-02, including streamlining appeals as of right, requiring electronic filing, allowing proof of service by email using cc, and eliminating the requirement to provide multiple copies of filings.

The attached regulation is being issued with an effective date of April 26, 2015. Updated forms reflecting the changes will be available on the MCSC website by April 26, 2015. Appeals filed through April 25 will be accepted if they meet either the current requirements in Regulation 8.05 or the requirements of the amended version announced today. Any questions about filings during this transition period can be addressed to the Employment Relations Board at MCSC-ERB@Michigan.gov..
