DETROIT CASINO REVENUES & WAGERING TAXES FOR THE MONTH OF JULY 2012
Casino Operations - July 2012
Aggregate revenue for the three Detroit casinos for the month ended July 31, 2012 was down by 6.75% when compared to the same month last year. Revenue was up 0.5% when compared to June 2012.
Revenue for MGM, MotorCity, and Greektown was down 4.2% to $48.8 million, 12.7% to $35 million, and 3% to $28.2 million, respectfully, when compared to July 2011.
The market shares for MGM, MotorCity, and Greektown for July 2012 were 44%, 31%, and 25% respectfully.
For the month ending July 31, 2012, gaming taxes for the three Detroit casinos were $9.1 million compared to $9.7 million for the same period last year.
