DETROIT CASINO REVENUES AND WAGERING TAXES FOR MARCH 2013
Casino Operations - Month of March 2013
Aggregate revenue for the three Detroit casinos for the month ending March 31, 2013, was down 0.4% when compared to the same month last year. Revenue was up 21.1% when compared to February 2013.
Revenue for MGM was down 5.0% to $54.3 million, whereas MotorCity and Greektown revenue was up 5.1% to $45.8 million, and 0.3% to $34.7 million, respectively, when compared to March 2012.
The market shares for MGM, MotorCity, and Greektown for March 2013 were 40%, 34%, and 26%, respectively.
For the month ending March 31, 2013, gaming taxes for the three Detroit casinos were $10.9 million compared to $11.0 million for the same month last year.
